Iris Merritt
Manager, Media Development Unit
Iris is responsible for maximizing the benefit to Yukon of film and media production while ensuring film and media production is a positive experience for Yukon and both local and visiting film production companies. This position is responsible for participating in the development of the Yukon film and media sector, with emphasis on program development, marketing and value added business development.

The Media Advisors work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, other department both in and outside Yukon in order to identify, initiate, manage and coordinate strategic sector development activities that contribute to the grown and stability of the media industries in Yukon. Additionally, they project manage and coordinate all media production and development services using up to seven funding programs.

Emily is the first point of contact for Yukon Media Development. She receives and reviews applications for completeness before sending them to the Media Advisors for analysis. She also reviews reporting submissions and makes recommentations for payments.
